Inspired Life wins grant from Milton Keynes Community Foundation

Milton Keynes Community Foundation

Milton Keynes Community Foundation Grant Award

Inspired Life are delighted to have won a small grant from the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to deliver new inspirational speakers and programmes in Stantonbury, a local academy there. The project was funded to allow us to work with a specific group of young people to raise their aspiration and build life skills.

The programme is being delivered in partnership with the learning

Elements of the programme included:

  • Working with professional musician Alex Wesley to work on song writing
  • Animal encounters and risk management working with our animal partners to allow students to handle a variety of animals
  • An outdoor adventurous activity with canoeing, kayaking and a BBQ on the river bank
  • Completion of our award winning Little Book of Adventure handbook to set goals and build dreams

Inspired Life's Richard commented "we are extremely grateful to the Milton Keynes Community Foundation for their grant award, it has enabled us to engage with students in Stantonbury in Milton Keynes to provide a meaningful short programme. As usual Inspired Life will provide a follow up for the students a few months later to see how they are getting on"  Feedback from the students was extremely positive and we have listed some of them below.

  1. “This programme has helped me believe in myself”
  2. “I have got more confident and it has helped me through the bad times I was having
  3. “It made me think about what I want to do as my career”
  4. “I wish it was longer”
  5. “I know how well I need to do at my GCSE’s to achieve my dream”
