A day in the life of an Animal Trainer by Grace Dickinson

Inspired Life Ambassador Grace Dickinson shares ones of her projects

I’m currently in Spain, somewhere about 5 hours drive North of Madrid. It’s hot and sunny, but we’ve been predicted snow by the end of the week!. I am here because I train animals for TV and film, and have been hired for one of the craziest assignments I’ve ever undertaken- training a hamster to drive a truck, or steer it at least. I have been training a number of hamsters for several weeks to follow a carrot so they can be controlled and directed left or right by the driver while they run in a giant wheel mounted on the steering wheel of the vehicle.

Temples, immaculate streets and heated toilet seats

My name is Rory McCann and I’m an inspired life Ambassador. I work as a wildlife artist all around the world. I love being creative and am hugely inspired by the natural world. Earlier this month, I spent 2 weeks out in Tokyo, Japan, working on a massive mural project of a marine scene.

Cycling Morocco: Camels, Col’s & Climbing Tichka…

My name is James Bebbington aka Pringle and I am an Inspired Life Ambassador. This last two weeks I joined up with Inspired Life's Richard  Harpham to explore Morocco by bike, taking in as much of the country as we could in our two-week stay. For myself I wanted a few thing out of the trip: a good motivator to get fit for the kayak season, a fresh way to see a new country, to experience something that would be a challenge & push me hard.

Our final route was from Marrakech over Col du Tichka to Ouarzazate, then onto Merzouga. We hopped on a bus to skip the long boring Desert road taking us back to Ouarzazate. Then back on bikes over Col du Tichka again, across and up the Ourika Valley and finally back to Marrakech.
